Come da titolo, a causa del tremendo terremoto che ha sconvolto questa mattina il Giappone con una magnitudo di 8.9 gli aeroporti di Narita e Haneda sono stati chiusi. Cita: A massive 7.9 magnitude earthquake has struck eastern Japan, just hours after a 7.3 magnitude earthquake struck. Tokyo's two main airports, Narita and Haneda, are closed to flights.
Strong aftershocks are also being reported from the Tokyo area, and a 6-metre tsunami is reported to have hit port and coastal areas, including the city of Kamaishi in Iwate Prefecture.
Passengers in airplanes on the ground at Narita Airport reported that the earthquake "felt like really bad turbulence, but [the plane was] not moving".
Inside the airport, a passenger reported Terminal 1 "halls shaking like crazy".
Narita Airport -- the destination for most international flights -- is some 60 km east of Tokyo's centre. That's in the direction of the epicentre of the earthquake, reported to be in Miyagi Prefecture according to Japan's Daily Yomiuri newspaper.

People on the ground fled onto the roofs of the terminal buildings and into the control tower of Sendai.
The Tsunami is expected to roll through the entire Pacific Area hitting as far as South America (Chile) within the next 24 hours. Islands across the Pacific, including Hawaii, are on alert and may be completely under water depending on terrain (especially the many atolls), airports across the Pacific may take hits by the Tsunami as well.
Tokyo's Narita Airport is currently closed, too.
A number of flights are being diverted as result of the Tsunami. Singapore Airlines are diverting their flight SQ-12 from Singapore to Tokyo Narita to Fukuoka (Japan), SQ-11 from Los Angeles to Tokyo Narita will divert to Tokyo Haneda.

Impressionanti. Sono terribili in quelle zone.
Guardando le immagini del telegiornale mi è tornato in mente con un certo magone che da quelle parti (non era il Giappone ma Taiwan) presi la più grande paura della mia vita a causa di un terremoto.
