An Alitalia flight from Rome Fiumicino to Pisa was delayed this evening dueto a broken propellorblade, a passenger heard a grindin noise and informed the crew.
The crew called an engineer and the flight attempted a second attempt,But still it wasbroken.
Alitalia called in a replacement Lufthansa BaE-146 and the aircraft took off just under 2 hours late.

Yeah i heard about that, did your sister tell you that?.....They say the Male passenger told the crew about the noise, and they told him that it s a usual noise, but then when the engine wouldent throttle up fully, they finally called an engineer,and when he tried to fix it, the Captain said its only a short flight, it should make it.
The engineer told ATC and the plane was grounded.

OT
Tanto tempo fa, quando volavo come "Fliying Spanner" sul 737-300 nuovo fiammante, mi trovavo a Mikonos,vento forte, e windmilling esagerato delle fanblades, relativo "grinding noise".
Tutto normale, come tutto normale farete Voi ?, c'è un rumore bruttissimo da sentire............
altro non è che lo spallamento(Mid span Shroud) che girando il fan al contrario si incontra con quello che lo precede ad ore 12.
Li esce quel "grinding noise di cui sopra.
