A mia sorella cambiarono il volo dello scorso sabato fez-pisa con un volo fez-madrid di lunedí sera… e con questo tutti contenti.
Si é dovuta comprare di tasca propria i voli Madrid-barcelona e Barcelona-pisa (poi cambiato in un Barcelona-roma) con vueling ed il biglietto del treno roma-firenze. Le altre spese che ha avuto sono state i due giorni in più in marocco, la notte a Madrid e poco più, perché, per fortuna, a barcelona aveva casa mia.


Non so bene come funzionano i rimborsi nel caso di eruzione di un vulcano…
Le altre compagnie che cosa hanno fatto?

Ad essere sinceri anche altre compagnie hanno approfittato; ad esempio so per certo che -Continental non ha fornito nessuna assistenza economica ai passeggeri che erano in Florida e volavano verso Londra, mentre BA e KLM hanno fornito albergo e ticket restaurant solo per un paio di giorni.

Purtroppo la 'causa naturale' prevede solo un rimborso del biglietto o la riprotezione sul primo volo disponibile.

Queste direttive sono comunitarie per cui andrebbero applicate da tutte le compagnie che operano nel territorio europeo.

Molte compagnie hanno assistito i passeggeri fornendo loro pasti, pernottamenti in hotel, riprotezioni (anche con altre compagnie) soluzioni alternative di viaggio (partenze e/o arrivi da altri aeroporti o transfer in bus) e i rimborsi per chi rinunciava al viaggio. Molte compagnie, come diceva Stefano, hanno applicato le regole un po' più all'acqua di rose.

Già…mi chiedo se, per il fatto di aver accettato il biglietto fez-madrid, abbia automaticamente rinuciato a qualunque altro ricorso con ryanair… che poi Madrid non é proprio vicino a pisa…

Stesso problema, in realtà con la vueling: perché martedí, quando le hanno cancellato il volo per pisa le hanno detto: preferisci andare a roma domani o a pisa giovedì? anche qui, si cambia il biglietto e tutti tranquilli..

Diró ad alice (la sorellina) di darsi da fare e vedere che cose riesce ad ottenere.

A me British, dopo la cancellazione dei voli, aveva reso disponibile l'hotel e 20£ al giorno di rimborso pasti; ma essendo in partenza sono tornato a casa.

Mi avevano anche proposto un cambio itinerario; entrare negli USA via Madrid partendo dalla Scozia, nei giorni che i cieli scozzesi erano aperti.
Ma avrei dovuto pagare il costo della differenza, che era 1500£ (ok, no problem perchè pagava l'azienda); il problema era il viaggio della speranza di 30 ore... in nave facevo prima...

30 ore… che bellezza…

Immagino che esistono compagnie semplicemente più serie di altre.
Ma viaggiavi in turista? Esistono compensazioni diverse tra le diverse classi?

viaggiando per lavoro ero in business, ma il trattamento penso fosse uguale per tutti; l'unica differenza era la lounge room a disposizione in aeroporto.

I diversi trattamenti da compagnia a compagnia sono certamente frutto di una diversa policy per il customer care; ad esempio BA se il volo era cancellato rifondeva tutto il biglietto, tasse ed eventuali spese comprese; il 100%.
Alcuni, tipo Continental, rifondevano solo una percentuale.

ad ogni modo nel giro di 5 giorni ryanair ha rimborsato i biglietti aerei, io non ci speravo proprio, soprattutto in così pochi giorni!
