Job Description

Mechanical Technician - Engineering

Description/Tasks

Provide technical support of activities prior to aircraft delivery
Supply technical services for upgrade and modification of aircraft in service
Provide technical services to help reduce repair and maintenance costs
Offer specialist technical advice for resolution of complex and/or bespoke aircraft technical problems
Perform evaluation of alternates for materials and tooling
Liaison of OEMS's
Areas of influence: Airframe Mechanical Systems / Structures / Power plant / Avionics / IFE / Cabin
Ability to assess the business and safety implications of making technical changes to aircraft

Qualification/Experience

A total of 8 years aircraft experience of which 5 years in a Technical Services function
Thorough knowledge of latest technical developments and industry trends
Thorough knowledge of Aviation regulations relating to private and commercial aircraft
Degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and/or holder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License for 5 years
